MIY ~ Make-it-yourself décor demonstrations and workshops are on how to transform
ordinary every-day objects into trendy or classic décor accents by introducing various
mediums, techniques and specialty applications with a hands and motivational approach.

MIY ~ Make-it-yourself Demonstration Specialty Presentations;
- Stainglass painting, showing all the tips, tricks and techniques
- Painting on chine and glassware
- Jazzing up fashions to embellish them with style
- Wood Staining Finishing ~ Stain blending
- Faux-finishes beyond the walls on furniture and walls
*Description: Introduction to faux-finish and mixed media creation on canvas. You will
be learning various faux-finish techniques to apply textures and mediums on canvas with
photo image transfer and crackling finish. Students will need to bring 5 x 7 images
printed on regular white paper, not photo paper. ( I will also bring extra images in case
they are needed). Choose a photo that inspires you.


*Description: introduction to painting on glass, using glass paints, products and
techniques. Learn the expert techniques, tips and the how-to applications to creating
beautiful Faux-Stain Glass creations. You will be utilizing these various techniques
uisng glass paints; comb textures, colour blending on a tall glass vase to create a
fabulous fall vase for your home.
*Description: You will learn how to use acryliacs to stain on
wood and how to do a technique I call "Stain Blending" to create
fantasy mirrors with 3D designs of your choice & texture with
stencils.

*Description: You will learn how to use the wood burning tools &
wood burning techniques... all to create a wooden sign for your
home. A great way to decorate and embellishe various decorative
itmes around your home.
Workshop 1:
Fall Festival Vase  
Faux-Stain Glass
*Description: You will learn various techniques to paint on dishes to
create 2 different styles of festive holidays plates. They make perfect gifts
too, just in time for the holidays.
Workshop 6 and 7:
Holiday Wooden Box & Holiday Glass Balls
*Description: Create a keepsakse Holiday Wooden Box & Holiday Glass
Balls to treasure (keep them for yourself or give them as gifts)
( Two part workshop) ~ November 28 & December 5th.
Demonstration: preparing and painting the wooden box with crackling finish.
Demonstrating various effects and ways to decorate glass Christmas ball:
tissue paper, gold leaf, dripping method and outliner.
