Karen and Mark where the host and hostess of the party as Nacho Libre and Nacho's wife KAK. Karen made
both of these super fun costumes with things they already had. The only item borrowed was the mask from
one of their son's friends. Patches where sewn onto the blue tights. Simple capes where made for both
outfits. We painted the KAK logo on her shorts and elbow pads. They where the hit of the party!

This is Brain, he made a great Woody! ~ His costumer was so much fun. I was taking pictures
of the guests as they walked in. Each one was more fabulous then the next. Anne always
makes very creative costumes for her and her husband. Simple, yet she had to think of it. She
made in under one hour with things they already had. She just needed to make a Sheriff
badge!

This is an other Brain and Nicky. Nicky also go very creative ~ She dressed up her husbasn
as Mr. text-it by attaching letters to plain black clothing! It was most original! Nicky was the bell
of the ball with her unique Christmas tree creation, with trimming and all. She fasten Christmas
balls, bows and garland onto plain green fabric! She sparkled! My fave was her red argyle
sock, excellent touch!

When we made Peter's costume, we said for sure no one else would come to the party as Jack Sparrow!
And guess what, someone else did come also as Captain Jack, but it was Anne! They both looked great,
each their own style and they both liked like Captain Jack. Peter wore one of my ruffle shirts with my craf as a
sash. Again both of these costumes where made with things we had. The key element to pulling this outfit
off is the hair, the braids and the attitude! Anne when with the more stylish Jack with a jacket and hat!

I love Halloween! It's the one time of the year you can really have fun creating an outfit. I do not believe one
has to spend a lot of money to make real creative costumes. I usually create my costume theme based
around the boot style I want to wear. I love boots! Then I went through the stuff that I already had and decided
to make this Zena outfit. It didn’t cost me anything to make this costume, except for some time, which I must
admit was lots of fun! A great way to accessories a costume is to go through your kids past Halloween
costumes to see what you can utilize for your creation. I used a sword and a plastic chest piece from some
of his previous costumes. I painted the chest armor piece with copper acrylic paint and added rhinestones
and a tassel ornament. I made the arm cuffs and the shirt panels using thick plastic liner sheets that had a
dimple pattern. I cut bands and applied black faux-leather type paper adhesive at the back. I glued the bands
to a belt that I had and embellished them with glitter paint, rhinestones and ornaments. I wore a black body
suit underneath it all with stockings and a black sheer fringe shawl to keep my back warm. For a fun touch, I
had a pair of gantlets, which I died black to go with the outfit. Oh, I almost forgot, I made the shield from a
dollar store gold serving plated, and embellished it with the same bands and accents that I used to make
the shirt and cuffs. I must say, I had a lot of fun in this outfit ;)
Wishing you all happy Halloween creations! Maddylane
